🏴 Goat Throne to Headline Post Apocalyptic Festival Powered Entirely by Scrap Metal and Fire
June 15, 2025 By: Black Ash Dispatch
In the ruins of a decommissioned Eastern European train yard, the anarcho blackened crust collective Goat Throne has announced they will headline the inaugural Ashes & Rust Fest a DIY music gathering running entirely on homemade generators, scrap metal percussion, and literal fire.
“We’re sick of power grids. If it’s not forged from ruin, it’s not true,” said vocalist gas mask artisan Sewer Saint.
Ashes & Rust Fest will take place in an undisclosed location “somewhere between Romania and oblivion,” with exact coordinates only revealed via encrypted cassette tapes mailed to ticket buyers.
⚠️ Festival Details:
Stages made from twisted railcars and oil drums
Amplification powered by bicycle cranks and windmill blades
Entry permitted only if wearing patched leather and “smelling of coal or regret”
Food vendors serving ratatouille made with actual rats (optional)
The lineup includes:
Wølfgrinder (d-beat from a Latvian bunker)
Clawing Sky (noise-black from post-Siberian waste zones)
Cinder Lung (funeral doom performed exclusively with broken amps and car batteries)
Attendees are advised to bring:
Gas masks
Bartering items (no currency accepted)
Ear protection made from melted down cassette shells
“This isn’t a show,” says festival co founder Dr. Plague Chime, “It’s a ritual for the collapse.”
