\ud83e\udde0 Cattle Decapitation Wins Lawsuit Over Rights to Use \u201cHuman Remains as Instruments\u201d in Music Video

After a bizarre and drawn out legal battle, Cattle Decapitation has officially won the right to use \u201csimulated human remains as playable instruments\u201d in their upcoming music video for the single \u201cPhalanges of the Fallen.\u201d<\/p>\n
The video, which was filmed in a decommissioned Norwegian slaughterhouse, features:<\/p>\n
Bone xylophones (crafted from 3D-printed scans of real femurs),<\/p>\n
A gore organ (fueled by pressurized beet juice and pig intestine casings),<\/p>\n
And the controversial \u201cspine harp\u201d that led to the legal conflict with the European Council for Ethical Creative Materials.<\/p>\n
Frontman Travis Ryan issued a statement:<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not just making noise we\u2019re making a statement about death, decay, and the beauty of rot. Also, it just sounds fucking brutal.\u201d<\/p>\n
The court ruled in the band\u2019s favor on the grounds that:<\/p>\n
No real human materials were used,<\/p>\n
The bones in question were \u201ctechnically part of an art installation,\u201d<\/p>\n
And, quote, \u201cCattle Decapitation is clearly not targeting minors with this content.\u201d<\/p>\n
To celebrate, the band is launching a limited release EP, \u201cCadaver Crafts Vol. I\u201d, which comes bundled with:<\/p>\n
A DIY „build a bone kit“,<\/p>\n
A scented vinyl that smells faintly of formaldehyde,<\/p>\n
And a 12 page manifesto titled „Harmony Through Putrefaction.“<\/p>\n
